In home dog training has the advantage of giving you and your dog more one on one instruction time. In addition to this, private lessons are sometimes preferred for a very difficult dog, or for those that are unable to come to see us. We always aim to start you in a full program before attempting to problem solve whatever issue you are having with your dog, because an overall trained dog is more respectful of his owners and training is more successful that way.

Travel areas are limited to a 30km radius from Beeton, ON. Additional travel fee may apply.

A large indoor space is required for most of the courses. Please ask if your area is acceptable.

All courses require daily practice to be done with the dog. 

 

Puppy Starter

​

Bringing home a puppy is a big step in your life, and you want to be sure to do it right. We can help give you a head start to make things as easy as possible for you. 

​

• House training (potty training)

• Crate training

• Biting

• How to socialize your puppy the right way

• Control within the house

This is a one-hour in-home session. This is not enough training for any dog, it's just to get you some immediate help.

Puppy Essentials

​

For all puppies under 20 weeks old

​

This course will benefit ALL puppies, regardless of how much home training they have had. A puppy needs to get out to see new things, new people, and other dogs. This course gives you an opportunity to do this in a safe environment. Learn how to raise a well-balanced, properly socialized puppy.

​This 5-week course will cover:     

                                          

• Getting started with obedience - Leave it, Sit, Stand, Down, Come, Walk on leash

• Handling and grooming

• Biting, Jumping up

• Proper socialization with dogs and people                             

• Housetraining

• Crate training

• Establishing the right relationship with your pup        

• How to avoid resource guarding before it happens

• Question period every class for individual household problems

• Homework handouts 

• Unlimited phone and email help for the duration of the course

 Included in the course fee is the required equipment - a martingale collar, 6' leather leash, and 15' longe line. They are not guaranteed from chewing and must be purchased separately if chewed. Daily practice by the owner is required for success.

Basic Obedience

​

This course is where all dogs begin if they are over 20 weeks old. 

This course helps you get your dog under control, making them a more enjoyable family pet. It is all about teaching your dog COMPLIANCE, both in your home and out in public around distractions. It will also help you build your bond with your dog. 

If you never do anything else with your dog, be sure you do this course! All dogs, regardless of age, need to take this one.

NO DOG IS TOO OLD!

​This 6 Week course will cover:

​

• Teaching your dog to heel at your side without the use of head halters or food. No more pulling on leash, even around distractions.

• Sit, Stand, Down, Stay, Place, and Come (on leash until Basic Level II course) – RELIABLY, without food being needed.

• Controlling your dog around other dogs, people and any other distractions

• Biting, jumping up, barking.

• Teaching your dog to accept handling, grooming, and vetting.

• Problem behaviours within the home. 

• Question period each week for individual problems and lesson plans. 

• Unlimited phone and email help for the duration of the course, for any problems you may be having with your dog.

Basic Level II - Off Leash Reliability

​

The Basic Level II course is ONLY for dogs that have fully completed the Basic Obedience course. 

 Every dog needs this course, to complete their training, solidify what they've learned, and to achieve off-leash reliability - a solid recall (Come!). Off leash reliability should be everyone's goal, it could someday save your dog’s life. Finish this course and you likely won't need any other training on your dog.

This 5 week course will cover:

​

• Solidifying all material covered in Basic Obedience at a greater distance with more distractions.

• A solid, reliable recall (getting your dog to come when called), with distractions.

• Fine-tuning obedience covered in the Basic Obedience course.

• Long-distance stays.

• Reliable off-leash heeling.

• Getting your dog trial ready if that is your goal

• Unlimited phone and email help for the duration of the course, for any problems you may be having with your dog.
